Take on a powerful and rewarding challenge this Ramadan by completing 500km—your way. Whether you choose to cycle indoors or outdoors, while fasting or after iftar, this challenge is open to both brothers and sisters and is designed to push your limits, strengthen your discipline, and bring the Ummah together with purpose.

 

Every kilometre you complete will support Muslim Charity’s Children of the World campaign, providing vulnerable children with education, shelter, safety, and the chance of a brighter future. Your effort this Ramadan becomes more than just a physical challenge; it becomes a source of hope, care, and opportunity for children across the globe.

Your fundraising efforts will directly support TEAMMC’s partner, Muslim Charity. Our Children of the World campaign is a comprehensive initiative dedicated to rescuing, sheltering, and educating children facing the harshest adversities.

FAQs

No, this challenge is open to all abilities. You can complete your 500km indoors or outdoors, at your own pace, throughout Ramadan. We do recommend some preparation to help you stay consistent over the month.

No, you can complete your kilometres while fasting or after iftar/suhoor. The challenge is flexible, so you can choose what works best for your health and routine.

Participants should aim to raise the minimum target (£200) by the end of Ramadan. However, we understand that fundraising can take time, so we will extend the fundraising deadline after Ramadan, allowing you to continue raising funds. Our team will also support you with tips, guidance, and resources to help you reach your goal.

A simple cycling setup is enough. Depending on how you choose to take part, this may include: A road bike, indoor trainer, or gym access, Helmet (if riding outdoors), Comfortable cycling clothing, Water bottle & hydration plan (especially when fasting) and Basic repair kit (for outdoor riding).

You can record your distance using any fitness app or device, such as Strava, Garmin, Apple Health, or a gym bike display. You’ll submit your progress each week.
